Measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. Choose the size closest to your dog's back length — if the measurement falls between two sizes, size up for a more comfortable fit. Hooded coats are available in sizes 8" to 18", designed for small to medium dogs.

Each hooded coat has a different construction and purpose. The Hooded Parka (Aspen Collection) features a water- and snow-resistant shell with poly fill and a detachable faux-fur-trimmed hood. The Toggle Hooded Coat is a wool blend with a polar fleece lining and a fixed hood — more of a fashion piece for cold, dry days. The Snow Suit covers from the upper legs to the ears with a water-repellent neoprene shell, polar fleece lining, and a built-in hood — designed for romping in the snow while keeping fur free of snowballs.

Most dogs wear the hood resting on the back, where it adds an extra layer of warmth around the neck and shoulders. The hood can be pulled up for added coverage in wind or snow, though whether it stays up depends on your dog's head shape and movement. The Hooded Parka's hood is detachable if you prefer to remove it entirely.

Yes. Hooded coats are designed to be worn over a collar, and the hood sits behind the neck area so it doesn't interfere with collar or leash attachment. Simply clip the leash to your dog's collar as usual.
